Grand-offspring, cuter than ever.

I want to plaster this cute video all over the internet. My darling little granddaughter, more precious than any other grandmother's grand-offspring, is smart, cute, adorable, and sweet. Here she is, dancing in her hula skirt:

And here she is in her Elmo suit:
(Well, it will have to come later. Blogger won't load the picture.)

So many ads, so little diversity

Although it is unusual for me to post news other than what relates to my family, I found an interesting youtube video when I was searching for information on the possibility of a media writers strike. Even though today was very exciting when I got a call from "The Late Show with David Letterman," the fact that Ray and I have TICKETS to go to the show, (along with two Broadway shows!) that very show is one that may be affected if there is a writers strike. ouch. What will that mean? I don't know. I just hope there is a show on Monday night because we get to go!

Following some links, I saw the following: an entertaining excerpt from testimony given a year ago by Patric Verrone at an FCC hearing on media consolidation.

It makes you think about how we get our information and entertainment - a mere SIX corporations to take all that ad money, and crank out what they call a "homogenized" product. How can that possibly be a good thing?
